Bible Studies

‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ – Jesus’ words in Matthew 4:4

Feeding our souls with the Word of God is one of the main goals of our church. We rejoice in various and frequent opportunities to study the Bible.

Do you have questions about the Bible? Is there a topic of particular interest to you? Please let us know! We are always trying to increase the opportunities for Bible Study.

All of our Bible Studies can be attended in-person or online (Zoom) or via telephone conference call. Call or text Pastor Mike Michalk at        952-388-3858 to learn more. Those who attend in-person gather in the Fellowship Lounge/Library on the first floor of the Administration and Education Building. Bibles and other materials are available through the church.

Confirmation

Sunday Morning's - 10:00 - 11:00 AM

The purpose of confirmation is for the confirmand (student) to confess and confirm the Christian faith into which they were baptized. Romans 10:9-10 says, ”if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

The Confirmation process involves growing in knowledge, faith, and service. Confirmands (and their parents) are expected to attend worship every Sunday at 9 am. It is understood that this will not always be possible, but absences should be kept to a minimum. Confirmation Classes are on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 and are taught by me, Pastor Mike. Parents are encouraged to attend worship with their confirmands and are also invited to attend the Confirmation Classes when able. In this way both the confirmands and their parents will grow in their knowledge, faith, and family relationships.

In addition to the Sunday mornings, the confirmands will be expected to go with the pastor on at least two visits to a hospital or nursing home or evangelism visit. Confirmands will also complete a Confirmation Project of their design, which is a creative way for them to communicate what they have learned during the confirmation process.

Please contact me, Pastor Mike Michalk, with any questions, suggestions, or concerns at (952) 472-2756 or (952) 388-3858.
